Zumbini is a music and movement program for young children (ages 0-4) and their caregivers. During Zumbini classes, children are afforded opportunities to explore a variety of instruments, including egg shakes, rhythm sticks, bells, and drums. Participants also sing songs, listen to multiple genres of age-appropriate music, and engage in dance and creative movement activities. The Zumbini program utilizes original music intended to provide children with a variety of social-emotional, cognitive, gross motor, and fine motor skill development opportunities in a fun and engaging environment.
About the instructor:
Megan Simpson (Mindful Hearts Yoga) is a former inclusion preschool teacher turned Zumbini and children's yoga instructor. She believes that mindful movement and opportunities for meaningful social connections are vital to every child's development. Her extensive background in early childhood education allows her to provide that through engaging and fun Zumbini classes. As a mom, Megan has witnessed the joy and benefits of Zumbini classes firsthand and she can't wait to share the same with more Forbush families! When Megan is not teaching Zumbini or yoga, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter and two dogs.
Registration is strongly encouraged as we anticipate this class will fill quickly!
