“Great Decisions 2024”

Are you interested in current worldwide issues and the geo-political influences behind them? Consider joining an interesting and diverse group of engaged informed citizens with varied life experiences and perspectives with whom you can share your thoughts concerning world affairs.

This annual nationwide “Great Decisions” program was first created in 1918. Each year non-partisan experts of the Foreign Policy Association research the topics anticipated to be the most current and vital world affairs issues for the coming year.

Attend one or more of the of the eight 2024 program topics which include: Mideast Realignment; Climate Technology and Competition; Science Across Borders; U.S. - China Trade Rivalry; NATO’s Future; Understanding Indonesia; High Seas Treaty; Pandemic Preparedness.

Each meeting begins by viewing a 30-minute video followed by a one-hour discussion of that week’s topic. Prereading approximately twelve pages from the 2024 “Great Decisions” briefing book is suggested but not required.

The 8-week 2024 “Great Decisions” program will start in early February 2024. The “ZOOM” group meets on Monday evenings and the “IN PERSON” group on Thursday evenings. Some participants attend both.

The cost of the briefing book for 2024 is $15.00 (group pricing) in lieu of the standard individual price of $35.00.

Do not let your winter location deter your participation. Some have attended our local “Zoom” programs from Florida, North Carolina, California and abroad!
